Back to School Night!

On Tuesday, August, 8th, 2017, San Francisco City Academy (SFCA) hosted back to school night! Students, teachers, parents and school staff gathered in expectation of the coming new school year!

Mrs. Elaine Chea welcomed parents and students and shared about her experience and passion being at SFCA since 2004. "It is because of one man, Pastor Roger, who intervened, that we are here. We [teachers], are now here for you and to empower your child and release them to excel academically, spiritually, socially and physically."

New teachers were introduced including Ms. Stephens the 1st Grade Teacher, Ms. Schaefer, teaching 2nd Grade, and Ms. Park, the 7-8th Grade Teacher this year. Mrs. Chea who previously taught 1st Grade will be stepping into the role of Academic Development Coordinator to assist each teacher at SFCA. Guests participated in different carnival games, face painting and a spooky House of Doom walkthrough! A halftime message was shared to the guests about unmasking our identities and Christ's love. Food and refreshments were served for guests as well.

Thank you to all guests, volunteers, and parents who helped out for the day. Thank you especially to Laura Osborn and church members who helped fundraise for the event!
